Resolution Think, LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Health Specialist to provide expert guidance and support to Head Start and Early Head Start grant recipients in the area of comprehensive health services. The Health Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert, providing strategies and resources to strengthen health practices and promote the overall well-being of children, families, and staff. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood health, mental health, and safety, excellent communication and training skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter expertise, strategies, and resources to Regional Office and TTA staff on comprehensive health services, such as mental health and environmental health and safety, as well as strategies for engaging staff and families around issues on health.
  • Serve as a member of a national peer group of Health Specialists from each of the twelve regions.
  • Develop and implement strategies for connecting with grant recipient health managers and/or coordinators in the Region to support grant recipients in implementing systems to support the health and wellness of children, families, and staff
  • Disseminate regional and grant recipient health data from existing government systems to identify emerging trends impacting Head Start grant recipients.
  • Develop and provide presentations and training on topics related to early childhood health, mental health, safety, and other related topics.
  • Serve as a liaison between OHS health and mental health leads, the National Center responsible for health and wellness, and their colleagues within the regions to support comprehensive health services.
  • Coordinate with Family Specialists on key topic to support grant recipients with blended family service/health positions.
  • Provide direct TTA services to individual grant recipients, at the direction of the Regional Office.
  • Participate in national, regional, and state work groups and meetings as directed by the OHS.
  • Support emerging OHS initiatives and priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: A minimum of a BA or BS Degree from an accredited university or college in public health, health education, maternal and child health, health administration or related degree, such as psychology, social work or early childhood mental health
  • If the highest degree was awarded more than ten years ago, the resume should be specific regarding documented continuous learning such as courses, conferences, seminar attended or relevant work experience. within the last 3‐5 years.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience related to health services in early childhood programs such as Head Start/Early Head Start, maternal and child health, school health or community health programs specific to the development and implementation of comprehensive health services for young children and families.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years’ experience
    • Experience providing training and technical assistance related to health services for children birth to five, including work with management teams and program staff.
    • Experience with programs and/or agencies serving children ages birth to five and families from diverse backgrounds inclusive of children with special health care needs and disabilities.
    • Experience communicating, both orally and in writing, with the ability to adapt to different size and types of audiences
    • Experience facilitating group discussions and presenting to range of audiences using a variety of formats to include virtual.
    • Experience using health related data and helping programs make data driven decisions.

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship (copy of birth certificate or naturalization papers)
Credentialing: Current physical and immunizations
Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
