Medical Laboratory Technician
Resolution Think LLC, through its joint venture Cognito Systems, LLC, is seeking to hire a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Fort Lewis, Washington. In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support in a fast‑paced, 24/7 teaching hospital, assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and daily clinic operations while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with Government standards and established clinical protocols.

This role is essential to supporting healthcare providers, ensuring efficient clinic operations, and delivering compassionate, high‑quality care to service members, retirees, and their families across a variety of primary and specialty care settings.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Receive and process specimens from all areas within Madigan Army Medical Center and from other Defense Health Agency laboratories. Review specimen labeling and determine the appropriateness of incoming specimens (e.g., timing of specimen collection and proper specimen container).
Log specimens into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Determine the suitability of specimens for analysis. Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure the physiological state of the properties is maintained.
Distribute specimens to the appropriate laboratory section in a timely manner.
Follow established procedures for processing biological fluids (blood, urine, and other body fluids). Prepare specimens for transport to MTF laboratories or for mail‑out. Prepare biological waste for proper disposal.
Provide general assistance to Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) and Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLSs); request information from and communicate specimen requirements to various departments.
Perform venipuncture on service members as needed when Aircraft Incident occurs.
Greet patients and accession patient tests in MHS Genesis. Verify appropriateness of laboratory request slips. Determine eligibility for care and priority of testing.
Adhere to HIPAA standards, strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Perform all duties in a manner that meets all Joint Commission Standards.
