Resolution Think, LLC is seeking a highly qualified Early Childhood Specialist who can provide expert training and technical assistance (TTA) to Head Start and Early Head Start programs, focusing on enhancing the quality of early childhood education services for children birth to five. This role demands a deep understanding of early childhood development, strong coaching and mentoring skills, and the ability to empower programs to implement best practices and achieve school readiness goals. The Early Childhood Specialist will work directly with teachers, home visitors, family childcare providers, coaches, and management teams, utilizing data-driven strategies to improve program outcomes.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site, group, and virtual TTA to grant recipients related to school readiness, family engagement, professional development, and implementation of a research-based coaching model.
  • Provide TTA related to the selection and implementation of ongoing child assessment, curriculum, teaching, and learning environments that are age, developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate across the birth-to-five spectrum.
  • Support grant recipients to improve teacher/child interactions as described by the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) for center-based preschool programs and other measures suitable for programs serving children from birth-to-five or children in home based and family childcare settings.
  • Support grant recipients to develop procedures and skills to understand and use data obtained through multiple sources, including ongoing child assessment data.
  • Support grant recipients to develop and implement family engagement practices that support early learning and development and parent-child relationships as described in the Parent Family and Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework.
  • Support grant recipients to strengthen birth-to-five transition practices, including through relationships with parents, families, local preschools, elementary schools, and other partners.
  • Support grant recipients to improve their collaboration with Local Education Agencies (LEAs), state agencies, and other partners.
  • Coordinate TTA with Grantee, Family Support, Health, and System Specialists to ensure effective integration of TTA across service areas, as directed by the Regional Office.
  • Maintain regular and timely communication with Regional Office staff on delivery of TTA and progress toward corrective actions or quality improvement.
  • Participate in national, regional, and state work groups and meetings as directed by the OHS.
  • Support emerging OHS initiatives and priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Education: BA or BS Degree from an accredited university or college. The degrees for at least 75% of the EC Specialists must include Early Childhood Education/Development or related field. Some EC Specialists must have coursework specific to infants and toddlers.
  • If the highest degree was awarded more than ten years ago, the resume should specify documented continuous learning such as courses, conferences, seminar attended or relevant work experience within the last 3‐5 years, that ensure the proposed candidate remains current in the field of early childhood development.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in programs for young children ranging from birth to five years of age. The experience should include the provision of technical assistance to teachers, home visitors, family childcare providers, coaches, and/or management team members. with ten years preferred, that includes:
    • Individuals proposed as birth to five specialists must have experience across the birth to five spectrum.
    • Individuals proposed as infant toddler specialists must have experience with children of that age.
    • At least one ECS must be CLASS TOT certified

Experience: Minimum five (5) years’ experience
    • Experience facilitating group discussions and presenting to range of audiences using a variety of formats to include virtual.
    • Experience analyzing data and assisting programs to make data driven decisions.
    • Experience providing training and/or technical assistance to programs in developing and/or implementing school readiness goals or plans.
    • Experience communicating, both orally and in writing, with the ability to adapt to different sizes and types of audiences
Citizenship: U.S. citizenship (copy of birth certificate or naturalization papers)
Credentialing: Current physical and immunizations
Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
